Meet George, the FRC Lion
When people ask why we chose the lion as our logo, this is what we tell them!
First, lions are unique because they live as a family unit, recognizing that they need each other to feed and care for the whole pride. They are social, friendly, and incredibly loyal within the pride.
Second, lions represent strength and courage – both important to healing from trauma.
Third, lions are protective and will fight for their pride.
Here at the FRC, we consider the Permian Basin our pride and our goal is to help our community heal from trauma by helping people recognize their strength, stand unified, support one another, and by utilizing positive coping skills, build resilience to the daily stresses we all experience.
